Abstract
Self disclosure is essential in social interaction. This research aims to find out the level of self disclosure, social interaction and know the relationship of self-disclosure with social interactions of high school students 45 Palembang State. This study is a quantitative study using correlational methods, the sample used in this study is 100 students with sample determination using proportional stratified random sampling. Data collection methods are self disclosure and social interaction. The data analysis technique used is the pearson product moment formula. The results of the analysis showed that the rate of self disclosure was moderate with 47% (47 students) for the level of social interaction of 35% (35 students) with the medium category. The result of the correlation of the two variables is the value sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05 which indicates that there is a significant relationship. And the result is obtained if r (calculate) is the size of 0.321 and r (table) with a degree of significance of 5% (df=100-2) of 0.197 then it obtains the result 0,321 > 0.197, which means there is significant positive and low relationship between self disclosure and social interaction of students in high school in the State of 45 Palembang. However, self disclosure affects social interaction of high school students in the State 45 Palembang only 10,3041 % which means 89,6959 % of good social interactions can come from other supportive factors. This shows that the higher self disclose, the higher the social interactions of students, but otherwise if self revelation is low then the social interaction is also low.
