Abstract

This research discuses about the Development of Craftsmen of Morge Siwe Custom in Kayuagung Sub-District, Ogan Komering Ilir District 2009-2017 (Material Contribution in Local Wisdom Courses). the formulation of the problems in this research are as follow how about the tepak craft of history of tepak handicraft of morge siwe custom, process of making tepak handicraft of morge siwe custom, the history of earthenware handicrafts of morge siwe custom, process of making earthenware handicrafts of morge siwe custom and the development of craftsmen of morge siwe custom in Kayuagung Sub-district, Ogan Komering Ilir District in 2009-2017. the aim of this research was to find out the history of the tepak craft of history of tepak handicraft of morge siwe custom, process of making tepak handicraft of morge siwe custom, the history of earthenware handicrafts of morge siwe custom, process of making earthenware handicrafts of morge siwe custom and the development of craftsmen of morge siwe custom in Kayuagung Sub-district, Ogan Komering Ilir District in 2009-2017. process of this research was conducted used history research method using steps of Heuristics, Criticism of Sources, Interpretations and Historiography. Collecting the data was conducted the interview with craftsmen, humanist and related department and literature study about related books. The approach or viewpoint of this research referred to geography, sociology and economics approaches. The result of the research showed that there was the role factors of the government in which there were activities to support the capabilities of craftsmen and the assistance provided have led to the development of the custom craftsmen of morge siwe both in the number of craftsmen who had increased and the ability of the artisans themselves has increased.
