Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan media tanam yang terbaik dalam mengendalikan penyakit rebah kecambah {damping ofj) dan menambah pertumbuhan pada tanaman cabai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), yang terdiri dari 9 perlakuan termasuk kontrol dan 3 ulangan. Semua media tanaman tersebut di atas ditambahkan biakan mumi Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan media tanam pada perlakuan D yaitu (Kompos D (tidak steril) + tanah steril) merupakan media tanaman terbaik dalam menambah pertumbuhan kecambah dengan tinggi 10,32 cm dibandingkan dengan kontrol tinggi 5,31 cm. Media tanam antara satu dengan yang lainnya dalam mengendalikan serangan rebah kecambah sebelum muncul kepermukaan tanah (pre-Emergence damping off) dan setelah muncul kepermukaan tanah (postEmergence damping off) tidak berbeda nyata.
