Abstract
Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) is a pest that causes direct damage on crop and as a vector of crop diseases. This study was aimed to know the influence of net color used to Bemisia tabaci population in the areal of Cucumber field. This study was conducted at Sriwijaya University experimental field from April until June 2018. The experimental design which was used in this study were Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three treatmens and nine replications namely Control, Red and White. As the results showed that the highest population of whitefly was at 27 Day After Plant, while the result of analysis variant showed that the Red treatment was significantly influenced to Bemisia tabaci whitefly population and not significantly influenced to White and Control. At 22 DAP, The highest average population was on White treatment, which was 21.0 and the lowest average population was on Red treatment, which was 11.3. Then, at 27 DAP with the highest average population was on White treatment, which was 23.9 and the lowest population was on Red treatment which was 16.3. And then, the highest population average was on Control which was 24.4 and the lowest population average was on Red treatment which was 16.4 at 32 DAP.
