Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di SMPN 1 Talang Kelapa melalui penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berorientasi gaya belajar pada materi SPLDV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dimana datanya dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah lembar angket, tes, dan wawancara dengan sampel yang berjumlah 34 siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Talang Kelapa. Adapun hasil yang didapatkan adalah perbandingan kemampuan pemecahan masalah gaya belajar visual lebih tinggi dibandingkan gaya belajar audio dengan nilai rata-rata gaya belajar visual dan audio berturut-turut yaitu 15,63 dan 15,18 yang terkategori sangat kurang. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah terkategori sangat kurang ini diakibatkan siswa yang belum terbiasa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah pada mata pembelajaran matematika terutama materi SPLDV.
