Abstract

The use of dry lab simulation has been conducted to determine the effectiveness of students' misconceptions on earth and solar system material in class 7 of Srijaya Negara Junior High School Palembang. This research was conducted using a pre-experiment method with a one group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through pretest and posttest results. The results showed that the use of dry lab simulation was effective enough to overcome the misconceptions of earth and solar system material in grade 7 Srijaya Negara Junior High School, especially the topic of planets by 63.6% and the topic of solar eclipse and lunar eclipse with an N-Gain value of 65.6%.
