Abstract
The objective of this research was to know the growth and production of red rice given several fertilizer treatments. This research was conducted from August to December 2017 in Pedamaran Village, Pedamaran Sub District, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatera. This research used Randomited Complite Design with 5 treatments and 5 replications, so there were 25 experimental treatment, each treatment consisted of 3 plant in polybas, so there were 75 polybags. The treatments of the fertilizer were P1 = N 80 kg ha-1 (0.67 g urea per polybag), P2= N 90 kg ha-1 (0.75 g urea per polybag), P3 = N 100 kg ha-1 (0.84 g urea per polybag), P4 = N 110 kg ha-1 (0.94 g urea per polybag), P5 = N 120 kg ha-1 (1.00 g urea per polybag). The results of the research showed that the treatment of nitrogen fertilizer had no effect to the growth and yield of red rice significantly, except the treatment of P2 (0.75 g urea per polibag) affected significantly on the weight of 1000 red rice.
