Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan skipping terhadap power otot tungkai pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler basket SMA Negeri 8 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu quasy eksperimen. Dengan menggunakan rancangan atau desain penelitian “pretest dan posttest one group”. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini yaitu tes vertical jump. Dari hasil pengelolahan data dan analisa data dengan mengunakan uji T. Pada hasil test awal atau pretest rata-rata mendapatkan 22,1 dan pada saat posttest rata-rata 32,7. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan dengan mengunakan uji-T terdapat t_hitung= 14,07 dan t_tabel= 1,70 maka t_(hitung )> t_tabel dengan taraf kepercayaan 0,95 (a=0,50) dan jumlah sampel ( N =30). Implikasi dari penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh latihan vertikal jump terhadap power otot tungkai pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler SMA Negeri 8 Palembang.
