Abstract

The purposes of this research are to know farmer’s behaviour in Douglas’ orchid cultivating, to analize relationship farmers’ behaviour with earnings level by Douglas’ orchid cultivating in Sako Kenten District, Palembang. This research was executed in Mei 2006. This research be conducted at orchid farmers in the group of farmers Douglas orchid so product comodity from means practice, cultivate, agrculture means, cherishing until harvest. Method used in this research is a case study at Douglas’ orchid farmers’ in Sako Kenten district, Palembang as a case. Sampling method had used is sensus method for seven farmers in same Douglas’ orchid the group or farmers. Data collected consist of the primary and secondary data. Data obtained to be processed in tabulation and prepared with description to count farmer’ earnings by using earnings formula. The result of this research show that spearman’s correlation analize from three behaviour component such as knowledge, attitude and practice, have correlation coefisien is 0,829 it means have relationship between attitude component with farmer’ earnings level in orchid cultivating and have high criteria with score 64,85 it means farmers can receive good information about lesson of orchid cultivating.
