Abstract

Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith) merupekan hama utama jagung di Indonesia yang menyebabkan penurunan hasil produksi mencapai 18 ton/tahun. Hama ini merusak titik tumbuh tanaman jagung secara langsung dengan cara menggerek bagian batang, daun, tongkol, bunga, dan buah. Hama ini juga memiliki tingkat toleransi yang tinggi terhadap penggunaan pestisida. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji patogenesitas jamur endofit terhadap larva S. frugiperda dan menguji kemampuan jamur endofit dalam menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan S. frugiperda. Penelitian ini menggunakan seed treatment untuk melihat pengaruh jamur entomopatogen endofit terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan generasi satu S. frugiperda, yang dirancang menurut Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 21 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan.
