Abstract
This complete was conducted at Sembawa, I^anyuasint, South Sumatera, from January to March 2018. The design was randomized complete block design with 5 trealments and 4 replications. The condition of budded slump stasis was in the brown grafting phase, 18 months old and used up to one umbrella. Each experimental unit consisted of 5 plants. The trealments were topsoil (Pl), peat soil (P2), topsoil + rice husk charcoal (P3), peat soil + rice husk charcoal (P4), and topsoil + peat soil + rice husk charcoal (P5). The results showed that peat soil treatment (P2) to budded stump gave the highest response on shoot height variable with value 33.09 cm, shoot diameter with vqlue 0,39 cm, number ofleaf with 38 leaf, percentage growth with value 95% fre$h weight and dry weight of shoots with values of 14.48 g and 4.37 g andfresh weight and dry \yeight of roots with values of 4.75 g and 0.98 g. So the peat soil can be used as a pl anting medium for grafting.
