Abstract

Rapid advancemenl of the music industry in Indonesia can serve as a promising business ftelds, especially in the city of Palembang. But the progress is not supported by the facilities that can accommodate the interests and talents of society attributable to the lack of talent development facilities in the field of music. Therefore, it takes a school of music that can accommodate all the musical activities, so as to produce professionals. In accordance with its needs, design approach t o the School of Music in Palembang are Architecture is a Frozen Music where architecture and music have in common in terms of basic formation to arrive at the peak of the work The music can not be separated from the element of melody, tone, harmony and rhythm. While there is an element in the architecture program function and pattem so that a work of architecture can be considered good, the bad and the beautiful or absence of the elements of music. Then from the approach chosen a more specific concept that is harmony. Then harmony will be applied to the circulation, and the height of the building facade that support the users of the building can be poured into the imagination of music works. So that will improve the quality of musicians in the city of Palembang.
