Abstract

The objectives of this research were executed in Desa Tanjung Agung Indralaya regency on Mei up to Juli 2009. This research, 1) The aim of this research is measuring farmer’s response to SLPTT, 2) To indentiflcation the function of PPL for SLPTT, 3) analyzing the relation between farmer’s response and the function of PPL for SLPTT in Tanjung Agung Village Indralaya Regency. The research method used is case study methode to obtain imagery of about parmers‘s response and the function of PPL for Plantation Management Program on Field School (SLPTT) in Tanjung Agung Village, to merger of Caram Agung group with 100 members which are 20 farmers as the sample. The collecting data used primer and secondary data. Primer data is got frorn the farmers through the answer from questioner and secondary data i s got the govemment institution and literature review. The research result shows that farmer’s response to SLPTT is in highly criteria with score 36,50. This result shows that farmers do their farming activity as the role given by PPL in SLPTT, and attend the SLPTT actively. The function of Agriculture Extensions roles in SLPTT avtivity also in highly criteria with average score 10,70. This result show that the way used by PPL create a meeting and give SLPTT materials is good enough. Qualitative analisys shows that there are relation between farmer’s resonse and PPL role in SLPTT in Tanjung Agung Village Indralaya Regency with rs count 0,992.
