Abstract
The research was conducled in Phytopathological Laboratory, Plant Pest and Diseases Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University Indralaya and swampy in Pemulutan village farmers ffom May to November 2010. The objective of the research was to find the effect of Trichoderma spp. and Penicillium spp. which are propogated by a variety of substrates in suppressing the attack of various diseases on pepper plants in swampy land. This study used a Ramdomized Block Design method (RAJC) with eleven treatments such as control, Trichoderma spp. of treatment, isolated T2 and Penicillium spp. of treatment, isolates P8 with medium substrate Kds, Kdt, Tds, Tdt, and Kds plus EKKU spraying. Where each treatment consisted of three replications. As treatment, PGPF applications made during breeding and continued at the time in the field. The results showed that application of Trichoderma spp. and Penicilium spp. on pepper plant was quite effective in reducing the incidence and saverity of disease. Where the incidence and saverity of mosaic in Trichoderma spp. and Penicilium spp. treatment have ranged ffom 23,33-73,33% and 6,67-20,83% lower than the Controls for the incidence of 93,33% and 31,67% for saverity with are supprcssion for the incidence mosaic of 21,43-75,00% and 34,22-78,95% for the severity of mosaic, while the incidence severity of antracnosa disease on Trichoderma spp. and Penicilium spp. treatment have ranged between 6,67- 33,33% for the incidence and 0,29-1,72% for the lower disease severity compared to Controls which amounted to 40% for the incidence and 3,18% for disease severity with the percentage of suppresion antracnosa disease 16,67- 83,33% for the incidence and 46,07-90,95% for severity antracnosa disease. Based on the research result it can be concluded that the direct application of Trichoderma spp. and Penicillium spp. propagated with different substrates is quite effective in controlling plant diseases, especially pepper mosaic disease and illness antracnosa. For the mosaic disease ranged from 21.43-75.00% for the suppression of disease incidence and severity of the emphasis from 34.22- 78.95% for the disease. While antracnosa disease ranged from 16.67-83.33% for the suppression of disease incidence and severity of the emphasis from 46.07- 90.95% for the disease.
