Abstract
The objective of current research was to study the effect of bio fertilizer application as subtitutes for mineral fertilizes on maize yield in marsh land. Field experiment was conducted in marsland of Timbangan Village, North Indralaya Sub-district, Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra Province from January to March 2014. Current experiment tested five treatments namely 100% NPK (A), 200 kg of biofertilizer + 100% NPK (B), 200 kg of biofertilizer + 75% NPK (C), 200 kg of biofertilizer + 50% NPK (D), and 200 kg of biofertilizer + 25% NPK (E). Those tlve treatments were arranged in complete block randomized design (RCBD) with three replicates. The result showed that treatment E (200 kg of biofertilizer + 25% ) resulted in the highest growth and yield of maize in marsh land.
