Abstract
The purpose of this research was isolate cellulolytic bacteria from digestive tract and did in vitro test to saw the ability of bacteria using cellulose. This research had done from February to March 2010 at Fisheries Laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. In this research was isolated 36 isolates from tilapia fish and gourame. As much as 16 isolates were expected had ability in using cellulose. In in vitro test, 3 isolates can growth on TSA media which was added by 2% of CMC. These isolates was isolated from digestive tract of Tilapia fish and Gourame fish and recognized gram negative bacteria.
