Abstract

DWIANA APRIANI. The influence of Using Production Factors and Drymg Treatment to Coffee Smallholders Income in Sub District of Kota Agung District of Lahat (Supervised by M. BAKIR ALI and LIFIANTHI) The objective of this research are to : 1) analyze factor that influence income and efficiency level to production, 2) compare smallholder income level between different drying treatment of rice, 3) identify the reasons why some farmers were not using floor drying in their drying treatment The Cobb-Douglas type of regression model was used to analyze the effect of the use of production factors on coffee production at farmer level. The method of analysis was using an allocative allocation, by comparing the NPM and the price of production factors. On the other hand, the income of farmers was calculated by using a mathematical formula. Results of the research mentioned that acreage of production was affcct the farmer’s income significantly, while labor, fertilizer, and pestiside do not really influence the farmer income. The income of farmers beside affected by the level of using production factors, was aiso affected by the way of drying treatment implemented, while prodyction cost and farm wilth do not influence. The result of efficiency level of using production cost in the coffee smallholdert showed that labor '■'ontribution and fertilizer was efficient, while pestiside as the opposite. The avefage farmer income which use floor diying was Rp8.223.354,2 while the opposite RP2.618.958,3
