Abstract

The bottled drinking water industry plays an important role in meeting the drinking water needs of the people in Indonesia. This study aims to see the return to scale of the bottled drinking water industry (ISIC 11050) in Indonesia. The data used contains secondary data obtained from Badan Pusat Statistik in 1990–2021. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the Cobb-Douglas production function approach. The results found that the bottled water industry in Indonesia has an increasing return to scale with a return to scale of more than 1, namely 2.97098, where an increase in the capital variable by 1 percent will increase the output value by 0.18 percent and an increase in the labor variable by 1 percent will increase the output value by 2.8 percent.
