Abstract
The research was conduction in the Entomology Laboratory, Department of Plant Pest and Diseases, Faculty of Agricultural, Sriwijaya University ffom June to December 2012. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of garlic powder, citronella and black pepper on the inhibition of spawning activity and the development of Callosoruchus chinensis (L.) Black pepper powder at a concentration 7 g/ 200 g green beans can inhibit ovipotition activity of laying up to 99,36% with a mean of 85,78%. Black pepper powder at a concentration of 7 g/ 200 g green beans very effective in reducing the number of insects first derivative (Fl) to 90% with a mean of 1,60/imagos. Application of black pepper powder 7 g/ 200 g green beans in green beans can inhibit susceptibility insect of C. chinensis 26,67/day with a mean period of growth and index of susceptibility average 9,37/imagos/day. powder at a concentration 7 g/ 200 g green beans can reduce the rate of progression intrinsic to 0,05/imagos/week with a mean. From the results of this study revealed that black pepper powder at a concentration 7 g/ 200 g green beans most effective in the inhibiting of ovipotition activity and susceptibility insect of C. chinensis.
