Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) count the economic scale for seeding palm oil business at Sukamakmur Village Gumay Talang District Lahat Regency (2) knowledge the efficiency of input allocation at seeding palm oil business in Sukamakmur Village Gumay Talang District Lahat Regency (3) knowledge their relations in cost price and income of seeding palm oil business in Sukamakmur Village Gumay Talang District Lahat Regency. The research was held in Sukamakmur Village Gumay Talang District Lahat Regency with in April until may 2009. The method that used was survey method. This method was with interview directly to farmers. The collecting data were tabulated and to analys with computerized using SPSS version 16.0 for Windows. Business scale of seeding palm oil in Sukamakmur Village Gumay Talang District Lahat Regency was on scale of increasing retums to scale. Where economics scale in Sukamakmur Village gave optimum benefit to farmers in 53.944 WELLY Y ANTI INDRIANI. polybag. Based on t-test, the result of this research indicated that as allocatif, the production factors of seeds at seeding palm oil have not efficient yet and the production factor of NPK fertilizer, organic fertilizer, decis and employee were efficient. The relation between business scale and cost prices were negative, it means if the business scale was increased so the cost prices would be decreased. While the relation between business scale and income were positive, it means if the business scale was increase so the cost prices would increased too.
