Abstract
The objective of this research was to observe the Growth and Production of Yield of Watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris Schard) with Water Hyacinth Bokashi and Potassium Fertilizer. The research was done from August 2005 until October 2005 at Research station of the department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. The research was using the Completely Randomized Design with five treatments, and repeated four times, so that there were 20 treatment. and each research unit consist of four unit of plants so all together was 80 plants. The water hyacinth bokashi treatment were K1 = water hyacinth bokashi 1000 g per plant, K2 = potassium fertilizer 130 g per plant, K3 = water hyacinth bokashi 1500 g per plant + potassium fertilizer 100 g per plant, K4 = water hyacinth bokashi 1000 g per plant potassium fertilizer 130 g per plant, K5 = water hyacinth bokashi 500 g per plant + potassium fertilizer 160 g per plant. The parameters observed in this research were branches length (cm), flower set (day after planting), fruit weight per plant (kg), fruit weight per block (kg), fruit diameter (cm), soluble solid (°Brix), diy weight of plant (g), and cropping index (%). f+rThe result of this research showed the treatment of water hyacinth bokashi 1000 g per pJant and potassium fertilizer 130 g per plant was the best treatment for fruit weight per block of watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris Schard).
