Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out dosage of compound fertilizer that give the best growth of oil palm (Elaeis guinensis Jacq.) at the main nursery. * , This research experiment was conducted in plantation experimental field of Agronomy Depaitment of Agriculture Faculty, University of Sriwijaya, from Desember 2004 to April 2005. This Research use Randomized Completely Blok Design with six treatments and four replications. Each treatment consists of three plants. The treatments were 10 g compound fertilizer granule NPKMg (15:15:6:4) as control and compound fertilizer tablet Plantta plus(TR) (20:10:10:8) with dosage 20 g per plant, 50 g per plant, 80 g per plant, 110 g per plant and 140 g per plant. on Comparing to NPKMg fertilizer (15:15:6:4), the result of the experiment showed that compound fertilizer Plantta plus ^ has no significantly influenced to oil palm growth in main nursery. However the compound fertilizer of tablet Plantta plus(TR) (20:10:10:8) with dosage 20 g per plant was the best result cOmpaning to othcr compound fertilizer dosages applicd.
