Abstract

Proses pertambangan timah secara umum terdiri dari penambangan, pengolahan mineral (mineral processing), peleburan, dan pemurnian. Salah satu faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan dalam memproduksi logam timah adalah peleburan. Oleh karena itu penting untuk mengetahui proyeksi mengenai produksi logam di tahun 2013 dengan memperhitungkan material balance dan proyeksi produksi bijih timah pada tahun 2013. Peleburan pada PT. Tambang timah dengan menggunakan 2 buah tanur pantul (Reverberatory Furnace). Perhitungan proyeksi produksi logam imtuk tahun 2013 berdasarkan pada produksi logam per bulan menggunakan formula material balance, proyeksi produksi bijih timah tahun 2013, hari tanur balance, komposisi peleburan dan kadar Sn material Input peleburan tahun 2013. Inventori tahun 2013 per bulannya berdasarkan pada formula material balance, stock inventori pada awal bulan, produksi setiap inventori. Dasar perhitungan proyeksi ini mengikuti proses peleburan tahun 2007 sampai 2011. Selama periode tersebut, kandungan arsen merupakan variabel yang menentukan recovery. Untuk proyeksi tahim 2013, diasumsikan kandimgan arsen sama dengan tahim 2012. Dari hasil analisis dan perhitungan dapat diketahui bahwa formula material balance dalam peleburan tahap I yang berdasarkan pada formula material balance data statistic tahun 2007 hingga 2011, formula material balance dalam peleburan tahap II yang berdasarkan pada simulasi formula material balance peleburan 11 dan untuk proyeksi produksi logam tahun 20/3, recovery logam adalah sebesar 77 %.
