Abstract

The purpose of this research are : 1) To measure the level of participation of cabbage farmers, 2) To measure the level of cabbage farming income, 3) To Analyze the relationship between the participation of women farmers with farming income cabbage. The research was conducted in the village of Sukau Teba Pring Raya, West Lampung Regency. The choice of location was done purposively with the consideration that the majority of its population are vegetable farmers and women participating in vegetable farming. The data was collected in August 2011. The sampling method used in this research was to census method (sampling saturation) of women who are cabbage farmers. The result showed that the level of participation of women farmers in farming cabbage ranging from land preparation to marketing with the average score of 36.46 which was criteria are. At income level of income in the village farm cabbage Teba Pring Raya average Rp. 4.259.237,27 per growing season. The analysis showed that the rs count 0.53. with a or degree of error 0.05, compared rs table of 0.3518. Correlation spearman test showed rs value is greater than rs table. Then the corresponding decision rule is reject Ho, meaning that there is a positive relationship between participation of women farmers with cabbage farm income in the village Sukau Teba Pring Raya of West Lampung Regency.
