Abstract

Transportation serves as a vital supporting of social activities in Palembang. Among the various modes, conventional public transportation is noted for its drivers' low safety behavior levels. In response, the government introduced the feeder LRT as part of an integrated public transport system, employing the Buy The Service (BTS) scheme to enhance this aspect. This study evaluates the safety behavior of feeder LRT drivers within Palembang's central area, utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze factors such as safety training, knowledge, management, and personal safety practice awareness. Analysis of survey data from 82 respondents identified safety training, management, and personal awareness as significantly positively impacting safety behavior. The R-Square result for the safety behavior variable stands at 0.829, indicating that these factors collectively account for 82.9% of the variation in safety behavior. Furthermore, the model demonstrates a good empirical fit with a 66% match, suggesting a strong alignment between the observed data and the theoretical model.
