Abstract
The objcective of the research was to know the yield ability of soybean genotypes mutation from Batan at ATP in South Sumatera. The experiment held from May to September 2010 at Agro Teknologi Terpadu (ATP), district of North Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. Randomized Block Design (RBD) was used in this research that consist of nine lines of soybean from Batan and three best varieties as a treatment with four replications. The results showed there were differences in growth, development and yield among the lines and varieties of soybean. Based on the variables were observed none of soybean lines were higher than varieties, the growth even the yield. The yields of soybeans in this study were low, it’s showed by number of productive branches and nodes, number of pods, and number of seeds. However, 100 seed weight of the lines were higher than varieties. The correlations test showed there were positif significant relation on some variables, but variables showed unsignificant influenced. These low of yields were caused by many empty pods which was affected by lacked water supply on early growing period and also at pod filling period beside by insects. The soybean lines had good growth and yield enough were 25 A MBB, 29 MBB, and 35 MBB. They have ability to examine on the ftiture because they have yield components closed to the was on some yield components of varieties. Generally the growth and yield of soybean lines were lower than all varieties tested.
