Abstract

SUMMARY The creative economy contributes to entrepreneurs in generating new ideas so that the businesses they build have quality production, thus increasing income. Woven fabric crafts as a means of livelihood for entrepreneurs who are done by nomads and have survived for generations. nomads families see that the craft of woven fabric has potential because it can improve the family's economy. This means that the creative economy is a field of modern economics that is very useful for nomads families in the Tuan Potato Village. The purpose of this research is to find out the background of the formation of a creative economy of woven fabric crafts in nomads families and to find out the role of the creative economy of woven fabric crafts in nomads families. The subjects of this study were nomads families in the village of Tuan Kentang, District of Seberang Ulu 1, Palembang City. The research process was carried out with a qualitative research method through a direct interview process to informants. That the information that was obtained by nomads families there came from Cirebon and had long been building a business until hereditary. They use the creative economy of woven fabric crafts because it has the potential to improve their economy. Keywords: Creative Economy, Woven Fabric Crafts, Overseas Families.
