Abstract

Research has been conducted on Coulomb Stress Change to determine the distribution of stress of the Padang earthquake on 30 September 2009 M7.6 and Padang Panjang on 6 March 2007 M6.3 and M6.4. The data in this study were taken from the Global CMT website in accordance with the coordinates of the earthquake point with the analysis method using the Coulomb stress method. The results of the Padang M7.6 Coulomb stress research on fault plane 1 horizontally and fault plane 2 vertically have the same direction, where there are 4 positive lobes towards the northeast-southwest, 2 negative lobes towards the southeast-northwest. Positive Coulomb stress changes spread to a depth of 150 km and negative 200 km so that the type of movement is upward. While Coulomb stress Padang Panjang M6.3 on fault plane 1 vertically and fault plane 2 horizontally there are also 4 positive lobes towards northwest - Southeast and 4 negative lobes towards west - east, so that the positive Coulomb stress spreads to a depth of 100 km and negative to a depth of 90 km so that the fault type rises. In Coulomb stress long field M6.4 fault plane 1 vertically and fault plane 2 horizontally are also the same, where 4 lobes are negative towards the west-east and 4 lobes are positive towards the northeast-southeast, with this positive stress spreading with a depth of 120 km and negative depth of 50 km so that the type of movement of this fault is also up. Keywords: Coulomb Stress, Fault Plane, Earthquake, lobe Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai Coulomb Stress Change untuk mengetahui persebaran stress gempabumi Padang 30 September 2009 M7.6 dan Padang Panjang 6 Maret 2007 M6.3 dan M6.4. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan Coulomb Stress dan arah distribusi stress gempabumi. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari website Global CMT sesuai dengan koordinat titik gempa dengan metode analisis menggunakan metoda Coulomb stress. Hasil penelitian Coulomb stress Padang M7.6 pada fault plane 1 secara horizontal dan fault plane 2 secara vertikal memiliki arah yang sama, dimana ada 4 lobus positif kearah timur laut- barat daya, 2 lobus negatif kearah Tenggara- barat laut. Perubahan Coulomb stress positif menyebar hingga kedalaman 150 km dan negatif 200 km sehingga tipe pergerakannya naik. Sedangkan Coulomb stress Padang Panjang M6.3 pada fault plane 1 secara vertikal dan fault plane 2 secara horizontal juga terdapat 4 lobus positif kearah barat laut- Tenggara dan 4 lobus negatif kearah barat- timur, sehingga tegangan coulomb positif menyebar kedalaman 100 km dan negatif kedalama 90 km sehingga tipe patahannya naik. Pada Coulomb stress padang Panjang M6.4 fault plane 1 secara vertikal dan fault plane 2 secara horizontal juga sama, dimana 4 lobus negatif kearah barat- timur dan 4 lobus positif kearah timur laut- Tenggara, dengan ini tegangan positif menyebar dengan kedalaman 120 km dan negatif kedalaman 50 km sehingga tipe pergerakan patahan ini juga naik.
