Abstract

Upaya memberantas tindak pidana korupsi merupakan tanggung jawab semua lapisan masyarakat, tidak terkecuali saksi yang bekerjasama (justice collabolators). Lahirnya UndangUndang Nomor 13 Tahun 2006 tentang Perlindungan Saksi dan Korban menjadi dasar lahirnya Lembaga Perlindungan Saksi dan Korban (LPSK) yang bertugas dan berwenang memberikan perlindungan dan hak-hak saksi yang bekerjasama (justice collabolators). Perlu diciptakan iklim yang kondusif guna memberikan perlindungan, hal ini dilakukan dalam rangka menumbuhkan partisipasi masyarakat untuk membantu mengungkap tindak pidana korupsi yang telah terjadi dan melaporkan hal tersebut kepada penegak hukum. Perlindungan bagi saksi yang bekerjasama (justice collabolators) sangat penting karena yang bersangkutan biasanya mengetahui dengan pasti pola kejahatan yang terjadi. Lembaga Perlindungan Saksi dan Korban (LPSK) dalam menjalankan tugasnya harus bekerjasama dengan berbagai instansi lain, agar perlindungan yang diberikan lebih maksimal. Kata Kunci: justice collabolators, LPSK, perlindungan.
