Abstract
An experiment was conducted to know the effect of dose prostaglandin F2a to oestrus sincronization of Pesisir Selatan Cow. The dose of prostaglandin F2a was 6 mg, 9 mg, 12 mg and 15 mg for 20 Pesisir Selatan Cows. The data werw analyzed by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The result of this experiment showed that 19 cows of 20 cows (95%) gave sign of oestrus was very good. The effect of dose on time of oestrus, oestrus length and oestrus presentation were no significant (P>0.05), while to oestrus intensity like vulva condition and mucouse in vagina was clearly. Average of time oestrus, oestrus length and cycle of oestrus length were 57.19-75.29 hours, 15.70-23.13 hours and 18.20-30.25 days. The conclosion of this experiment showed that low dose of prostaglandin F2a can be use for oestrus sinconization program with optimal dose is 6 mg/cow.
