Abstract

The plastic pipe and fittings industry plays an important role in supporting various economic sectors in Indonesia, such as infrastructure, agriculture, and construction. However, despite its great potential, the industry is faced with challenges of operational efficiency and profit optimization. This study aims to analyze technical efficiency and determine the effect of raw materials, labor and capital costs on profits in the plastic pipe and fittings industry (ISIC 22230) in Indonesia. The data used is secondary data for the period 2000-2021. The analysis method used is quantitative descriptive method with Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the plastic pipe and fittings industry has a high level of efficiency in terms of its development. Based on the regression results, it is stated that raw materials and labor have a significant effect on the profits of the plastic pipe and equipment industry, while the cost of capital has no significant effect on the profits of the plastic pipe and equipment industry due to the high business expenses that make profits decline.
