Abstract

One of the preventive measures to overcome the nutritional problem of stunting is by providing iron supplement tablets (TTD) which must be consumed by pregnant women and teenage girls. The aim of this research is to describe and compare the distribution of TTD among pregnant women and teenage girls as well as the incidence of stunting in Palembang City and Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatera, using the QGIS which can provide in-depth data visualization. Descriptive analysis using spatial methods with the type of secondary data. The samples used total sampling technique were 2,511 pregnant women, 66,631 teenage girls, and 623 stunting toddlers in Palembang City and 6, 270 pregnant women, 21,046 teenage girls, and 1,189 stunting toddlers in Musi Rawas Regency. The data used in this research is a soft file document took from E-PPGBM South Sumatera Health Service in 2022. The prevalence of stunting in Musi Rawas (4.2%) was higher than the prevalence of stunting in Palembang (0.5%). The distribution of TTD among pregnant women in Palembang (99.29%) was higher than in Musi Rawas (94.44%). While the distribution of TTD among teenage girls in Palembang (70.46%) was lower than Musi Rawas (83.93%). The distribution of iron supplement tablets among pregnant women and teenage girls in these two areas was good although achieving TTD for pregnant women in Musi Rawas Regency still hadn’t met the government’s target. It also showed that stunting cases in Musi Rawas are categorized as low and stunting cases in Palembang were categorized as very low according to WHO.
