Abstract

The performance of the Organization has become a critical aspect in efforts to good governance, especially in gratification control. Gratification control is necessary because we see corruption figures in southern Sumatra increasing every year. Therefore, the Gratification Control Unit (UPG) at the South Sumatra province's regional inspectorate has responsibility for suppressing the gratification corruption figure in the southern sumatera province. The study aims to analyse the performance of the Gratification Control Unit (UPG) at the Regional Inspectorate of South Sumatra Province. This study uses the theory of organizational performance according to Agus Dwiyanto (2006) which has four dimensions: Productivity, Responsiveness, Responsibility and Accountability. Research methods used in this research with qualitative research methods. Data obtained through in-depth interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the research showed that the performance of the Gratification Control Unit (UPG) was assessed as still low based on the number of indicators that have not been performed to the maximum, such as the lack of technical guidance, gratification reports, Operational Standards Procedures (SOPs) of goods management and analysis of gratification reports, vulnerability mapping, policy proposals, as well as monitoring and evaluation that has not been carried out. Many of these shortcomings need to be evaluated on gratification control units so that the organization's performance goes well.
