Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the morphology and physiology of some physic nut accessions in water stress condition. The research was conducted irom Julv 2012 to Sentember 2012 in olastic house. Located in Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University - Indralaya. The experiment was arranged according to Factorial Randomized Block Design that consisted of two factors with twelve treatments and three redications. The first factor was optimal condition and stress condition. The second factor was accession Sumsel 1, Sumsel 2, Sumsel 3, Sumsel 4, Sumsel 5, and Sumsel 6. The results showed that under stress condition, accession Sumsel 3 (B3) had the highest plant dry weight (1,77 g), whereas the accession Sumsel 4 (B4) had the lowest Dlant drv weieht (0.87 e). Accordine to variables width of canoDV. leaf area, plant dry weight, root dry weight, top, middle and bottom root dry weight under water content of stress, the best accession was accession Sumsel 3 fl3i) and accession Sumsel 4 ('B*) was the lowest. So. it made Sumsel 3 (BV) more tolerant to drought stress. Number of leaf, number of shoot, middle and bottom root dry weight correlatted to the root dry weight.
