Abstract

Settling pond sediment and FABA have considerable potential, especially in nurseries, especially in sengon buto plants, if not handled properly, it will have a negative impact on the environment. The problem is that these two growing media must determine the right dosage. This study compared five kinds of media made from a mixture of mineral soil, settling pond sediment and FABA to increase the growth of sengon buto plants so that there were 25 samples and arranged in a Randomized Group Design (RGD). The results of this study were tested using the Anova test and had no significant effect on the height increase of sengon buto plants. The right composition in this study in P3 media = 3 kg Mineral Soil + 1 kg KPL + 1 kg FABA, although it has no real effect but the dose in the P3 treatment shows the statistics of plant height which gives a response to the increase in plant height with an initial week value of 1.31 cm and the fourth week with a value of 1.38 cm. In the results of the sengon buto plant height increase table for the initial week and every week that has been carried out using the transformation test, the results show that the control height increase is greater than the treatment that has been given the composition of the planting media. This research cannot be answered because there is still a lack of information about the case of mineral soil control treatment, settling pond sediment control and FABA control. Measurement of sengon buto stem diameter using a Digital Capillary Meter tool that is only measured at week 4 and shows the results in treatment P2 has the smallest value with a value of 4.82 mm and treatment P5 has a greater value with a value of 5.64 mm.
