Abstract

Serial Narcos merupakan serial yang diangkat dari kisah nyata gembong narkoba terkenal yang pernah ada yaitu Pablo Escobar. Cerita ini berkolaborasi secara langsung dengan agen DEA yang menangani kasus Pablo Escobar di dunia nyata yaitu agen Steve Murphy dan Javier Pena. Semasa hidupnya, Pablo Escobar dikenal sebagai sosok seorang ayah yang mencintai keluarganya. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengangkat nilai keluarga dalam penelitian kali ini. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori semiotika milik Roland Barthes ditambah dengan teori nilai keluarga dari Mary Ann Lamanna dan Agnes Riedmann sebagai teori pendukung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan adegan dalam serial Narcos yang mengandung nilai keluarga, kemudian melakukan analisis dengan menggunakan semiotika Roland Barthes yang terdapat denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian yang telah ditemukan, peneliti menarik kesimpulan terdapat beberapa adegan yang mengandung aspek nilai keluarga yaitu kebersamaan, stabilitas, dan loyalitas.
