Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP OF URINE ALBUMIN CREATININE RATIO TO THE INCIDENT OF ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY IN PATIENTS IN THE ICU OF DR MOHAMMAD HOESIN HOSPITAL PALEMBANG ABSTRACT Rr. Marina Rizky Utami1 , Zulkifli2 , Andi Miarta2 , Ziske Maritska3 1Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Resident of Medical Faculty Sriwijaya University/RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang 2Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Departement of Medical Faculty Sriwijaya University/RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang 3Biomedical Department of Medical Faculty Sriwijaya University Background: Complications of AKI that often occur in ICU patient care greatly influence a patient's morbidity and mortality. Early detection/enforcement of AKI is very effective in reducing morbidity and mortality rates. Changes in kidney function can be measured in various biomarkers, one of which is the urine albumin creatinine ratio (UACR) where an increase in urine albumin occurs before changes in serum creatinine, and increases only after the development of significant azotemia. Methods: This research was carried out in the intensive care unit and laboratory room at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang during February – March 2024 where the research samples were patients undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit at RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang met the inclusion criteria in the form of being on the first day of ICU treatment, with a minimum age of 18 years and the patient or patient's family was willing to take part in the research and sign informed consent. The exclusion criteria in this study were patients with a history of hypertension > 10 years, diabetes mellitus > 10 years and with impaired kidney function before ICU treatment. Urine and blood samples were taken on the first day. Results: In this study, it was found that 91.7% of research subjects diagnosed with AKI had a UACR > 30%, while 70% of research subjects who were not diagnosed with AKI had a UACR of ≤ 30%. In the analysis test, a significant relationship was found between UACR and the incidence of AKI. Conclusion: UACR has a significant relationship with the incidence of AKI and is worthy of consideration as a biomarker for AKI detection.
