Abstract

News is easily and practically accessed by anyone and anywhere. Information is now important in life as a topic of daily conversation, even to find out the news or whatever is happening in an area and even around the world. This study aims to analyse the maximum discourse of the use of diction or words that refer to the word non-Muslim / infidel in news in various online media with the help of corpus linguistics, to find out and identify the frequency, concordance, and collocation of the appearance of dominant words in the news of the term Kafir / Non-Muslim on Nahdhatul Ulama (NU) and Salafi online sites. The frequency of reporting on the term infidel/non-Muslim on the two NU and Salafi news portals was 56,659 words out of 78 stories and 103,748 words consisting of 85 news that often appeared after selecting words. Some of the relevant words are People, Kafir, Islam, Muslim and Religion. Keywords: Corpus-based Discourse Analysis, Discourse, Corpus, Online Media, NU, News.
