Abstract

Waste of cassava peel in large amount can give bad effect for environment. The waste of cassava peel can be used as renewable energy feedstock because of its role as an environmentally friendly biomass it can be processed into biobriket as an altemative fuel . The benefit of cassava peel can give a good effect for environment, and also can give value for that cassava peel.In this study , cassava biobricket made using from water hyacinth and banana leaf stalk as a comparison . Variable temperature to find optimum conditions briquettes start of 300 ° C , 350 ° C , 400 ° C , 450 ° C , 500 ° C with carbonization time for 45 minutes . Based on the analysis biobriket, either by using a water hyacinth and banana leaf stalk.The optimum conditions obtained in the carbonization temperature 400 ° C , with a calorific value of 5461 cal / g for water hyacinth adhesives , and 5265 cal / g for banana leaf stalk adhesive .
