Abstract

The study was to determine growth production and crossing between several black rice accessions and rice variety of Inpara-5. Research was conducted in October 2017 to May 2018 at the greenhouse of Faculty of Agricultural, Universitas Sriwijaya. Research was accomplished by using 10-kg pot. The study utilized Randomized Block Design. Results indicated that Inpara-5 variety showed better growth in some variables including, total number of tillers, number of productive tillers, and harvesting priode. The Inpara-5 variety showed better productivity. Crossing between black rice accessions and Inpara-5 variety resulted in 307 seeds derived from 880 crosses.
