Abstract

This research helps increase students' understanding of entrepreneurship so that students can minimize the occurrence of failures when starting or running a business. The purpose of this study is to determine what are the factors of failure in entrepreneurship for students of the Economic Education Study Program, FKIP, Sriwijaya University Academic Year 2020-2021. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and interviews. The research sample amounted to 30 students who were determined by the Saturated Sampling technique. Based on the results of the research conducted, there are 3 indicators that cause the failure of student entrepreneurship, namely management in business, existing capital, and business competition which with an average of 52.97% with a fairly influential category. With details of each indicator, namely management in the business being run with the category less influential, existing capital with the category quite influential, and business competition with the category quite influential. For further research, it is suggested that expanding the existing theory on the operational definition of variables which includes indicators that will become research measurement tools.
