Abstract

This research aims to prove the effect of the adversity quotient on students' problem solving abilities in economics subjects at SMAN 10 Palembang. The research uses a quantitative approach with associative research methods. The population in the research were class XI students at SMAN 10 Palembang consisting of 14 classes. Sampling used a cluster sampling technique, class of XI.13 was selected as samples. Data collection techniques are questionnaire and tests. Test the validity of the instrument using the Product Moment and Reliability formulas using Alpha Cronbach. The results of the research show that the adversity quotient data obtained is categorized as moderate with a result of 62.22 percent and problem solving ability is categorized as moderate with a result of 57.78 percent.Data analysis using the t-test shows that t count is 5,914 more than t tabel is 1,681 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the adversity quotient on the problem solving abilities of students at SMAN 10 Palembang. It is recommended that educators pay attention to the resilience aspect of their students' adversity intelligence to help improve their students' problem solving abilities.
