Abstract

Lebak swamp is a potential land resource for agriculture. Chaya is an annual vegetable crop that is consumed as a vegetable or medicine. Chaya plants are profitable because they are tolerant of extreme environmental stress. Manure and Liquid Organic Fertilizer are materials used to fertilize low fertility wetland soils to support optimal growth. This study aims to determine the effect of cow manure and POC Mega Rhizo on the growth response of Chaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius var. Picuda) on lebak swamp soil. The design that will be used in this study is a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RABD) consisting of 2 factors with each having 3 treatment levels, each of which is repeated 3 times and each experimental unit has 3 plants, so that the total number of plants is 81 plants. The manure used in this study is K0 = Control, K1 = 5 tons-1 ha, K2 = 10 tons-1 ha. Meanwhile, the doses of Mega Rhizo Liquid Organic Fertilizer used were M0 = Control, M1 = 50 ml-1 plant, and M2 = 150 ml-1 plant. The variables observed in this study were the analysis of cow manure, Mega Rhizo liquid organic fertilizer, number of leaves, plant height, leaf fresh weight, leaf dry weight, petiole wet weight, petiole dry weight, branch diameter, leaf greenness level, leaf area growth rate, branch fresh weight, branch dry weight, stem fresh weight, stem dry weight, root fresh weight, root dry weight, root length, total leaf area, canopy area, canopy diameter. The best results were obtained from the use of the K2M1 treatment which involved the application of a combination of cow manure and Mega Rhizo POC which significantly affected the variables of number of leaves, petiole wet weight, leaf fresh weight, leaf dry weight, total leaf area, and canopy area.
