Abstract

Digital identity security is increasingly important in the era of digitalization. The rise of digital document forgery today where most document security systems only use certain codes or only a barcode that anyone can make, this research proposes to create a digital identity verification system that uses Soulbound Token (SBT), based on the Ethereum blockchain where the blockchain itself has properties that can track the issuance process until the process is received into the hands of the user. SBT is a non-transferable token that can be used to show that a person has a digital identity that cannot be faked. This system is intended to overcome the problem of forgery and verification of electronic documents that are rampant today. Making a system using a website-based application called trustId, this website will later use a snapshot filter that will filter the SBT contract code issued by Sriwijaya University. To ensure the authenticity and security of digital identities verified through this system, testing is carried out using the black box method, namely testing that is carried out directly and the results obtained are all valid. The tests conducted show that SBT can help manage digital credentials securely in digital credential management
