Abstract

This research to analyze the influence of poverty, government spending on education and health on the human development index in 22 Asian countries. The secondary data used is in the form of cross sections and time series from 2012-2021, covering 22 developing countries on the Asian continent which are members of the Asian Development Bank and do not fall into the "Very High" Human Development Index (HDI) category. Quantitative analysis was carried out using panel data regression in the form of a Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The research results show that poverty has a significant negative effect on HDI, government spending on education has a positive and insignificant effect on HDI, while government spending on health has a positive and significant effect on HDI. From this research, it is recommended to adopt policies that focus on increasing HDI such as increasing investment in access to public services regarding education and health, monitoring the efficiency of education and health budgets, increasing community participation in educational literacy, building a strong social security system for the poor. in terms of education, encouraging the development of people's businesses so as to create inclusive economic growth that empowers the community.
