Abstract

This research is titled "The Development of Muhammadiyah Organization in Harjowinangun Village, Belitang District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency from 1962 to 2022." The problem addressed in this research is how the Muhammadiyah organization formed, developed, and influenced Harjowinangun Village in Belitang District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency from 1962 to 2022. The purpose of this research is to understand the aforementioned issues.The method used is historical research method, including heuristic, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation. The resultsobtained in this research indicate that before the arrival of Muhammadiyah in Harjowinangun Village, the religious life of the villagers was characterized by practices rootedin Animism andDynamism beliefs.Muhammadiyahorganization madeextensiveefforts to improvethe religious, social, educational, and economic aspects of the community in Harjowinangun Village through its charitable activities and various religious routine events. Keywords:Development,Organization, Muhammadiyah Penelitian ini berjudul “Perkembangan Organisasi Muhammadiyah di Desa Harjowinangun Kecamatan Belitang Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu TimurTahun 1962-2022”. Masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana awal terbentuk, berkembangan, dan pengaruh organisasi Muhammadiyah di Desa Harjowinangun Kecamatan Belitang Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Timur tahun 1962-2022. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui permasalahan diatas. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian sejarah meliputi heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dalampenelitian ini adalah bahwa sebelum masuknya Muhammadiyah di Desa Harjowinangun kondisi kehidupan beragama masyarakat desa marak dengan praktek keagamaan yang masih mempercayai dan memegang teguh kepercayaan Animisme dan Dinamisme. Organisasi Muhammadiyah secara masif berupaya membenahi kehidupan beragama, sosial, pendidikan, dan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Harjowinangun Kecamatan Belitang Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Timur melalui amal usaha Muhammadiyah dan berbagai kegiatan rutin keagamaan.
