Abstract

Ikan Tenggiri (Scomberomorus guttatus) termasuk ikan pelagis dan merupakan salah satu ikan bernilai ekonomis tinggi di Indonesia bahkan dunia karena kandungan lemaknya yang tinggi dan bagus untuk pertumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis morfometrik, hubungan panjang berat dan komposisi isi lambung ikan Tenggiri. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2023 yang berlokasi di perairan Selat Bangka. Sampel didapatkan dari para pengepul yang berada di sekitar wilayah Desa Sungsang, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Sumatra Selatan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa morfometrik ikan Tenggiri di perairan Selat Bangka tergolong ke dalam ukuran yang kecil dengan rata-rata panjang mencapai 24,35 cm pada ikan Tenggiri jantan dan 25,2 cm pada ikan Tenggiri betina. Hubungan Panjang berat ikan Tenggiri menunjukan bahwa pola pertumbuhan ikan tersebut adalah allometrik negatif (b<3) dan identifikasi jenis makanan ikan Tenggiri yang berada di daerah perairan Selat Bangka diantaranya anakan ikan herring sebagai makanan utama, crustacea jenis rajungan dan detritus sebagai makanan pelengkap.
