Abstract
Sumbangan dari produk penelitian ini berupa materi ajar berbentuk booklet untuk pembelajaran Biologi SMA kelas X. Ecoprinting is one of the textile industry techniques that is environmentally friendly because it uses materials that come from nature. In making ecorpinting, not all types of plants can be used, only selected plants, namely plants that have color pigments and high humidity. How to utilize each part of the plant organ is also different. This research aims to describe the types of plants used, parts of plant organs, how to use them as natural dyes, and the colors and motifs produced in the ecoprinting technique. The research method was carried out in a descriptive way, the research data analysis used qualitative by classifying the types of plants, the parts of the organs used, and how to use them and the colors produced. Respondents were selected (purposive sampling) who are ecoprinting craftsmen in Palembang City. The results of this study show that there are 24 species of plants that can be utilized. Plant organ parts used are leaves (56%), stem bark (24%), flowers (8%), fruit (4%), rhizomes (4%), and roots (4%). The way to use it is by steam (steamed). Then the other way is by boiling and pounding. The color pigments produced are flavonoids, anthocyanins, tannins, catechu acid, curcumin, morindon and morindin, and brazilin and sappanin. The contribution of this research product is in the form of teaching materials in the form of booklets for learning Biology class X high school.
