Abstract

Red chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.) are one of the horticultural commodities that are widely cultivated in Indonesia and are favored by the public and have a fairly high economic value. One of the efforts that can be made to get an increase in red chili production can be done in various ways, including improving cultivation techniques which include superior varieties, spacing and fertilizing. Fertilization is one of the main plant maintenance measures to get optimal growth. Fertilizer is a material given into the soil both organic and inorganic to meet the nutrient needs of plants. Organic fertilizer can come from animal or livestock manure, one of which comes from swallow droppings which in agriculture is called guano fertilizer. This study aims to determine how the effect of various doses of swallow manure fertilizer on the growth of curly chili plants (Capsicum annum L.) variety Sios Tavi. This study used the Group Randomized Design (RAK) method. The treatment in this study is wallet manure fertilizer with 4 levels of treatment, namely: W0: control, W1: 100 g / polybag, W2: 200 g / polybag, W3 : 300 g / polybag. Data was obtained from the results of the calculation of growth and crop production results analyzed by the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method using the R-studio application. Based on the results of the study, the application of doses of swallow manure fertilizer on curly red chili plants showed that giving a dose of 200 g / polybag was the best dose. This is because each observed variable shows a dose of 200 g / polybag superior to the dose of other swallow manure fertilizers. Keywords : Curly Chili, Fertilizer Dose, Swallow Manure.
