Abstract

Teachers have an important role in helping students develop knowledge, skills, values and understand norms, abilities and can shape character so that they grow and develop into good society. Teacher performance is the most important factor in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. Teacher performance is influenced by career development and work motivation. This research aims to determine the influence of career development and work motivation on teacher performance at SIT Menara Fitrah. Data collection at the research location in April at SIT Menara Fitrah. The population in this study were teachers at SIT Menara Fitrah using a saturated sampling technique with a sample of 58 respondents. The data collection method used in this research was obtained through a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that career development and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. This shows that the higher the career development and work motivation, the higher the teacher's performance. It is hoped that the SIT Menara Fitrah school will maintain and improve career development programs such as workshops, training to help teachers improve skills and knowledge and is expected to maintain and increase the work motivation provided, such as a sense of security and appreciation for the achievements that have been made.
